Meet John

john-accessibility-technologyconsultantWith more than 30 years of experience in multiple roles in Information Technology, John Mulé’s accomplishments span LAN/Wan installations, multi-facility resource management, mainframe support, systems analysis, voice and data communications, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

John has been using assistive technology since the age of the “green screen”, due to visual challenges.  As a result, he has always been attentive to the needs of the user within their specific context of use.   His diminishing vision during the past 25 years required he take steps to maintain his ability to effectively interact with technology.  First relying on a simple magnifying glass and then progressing to jumbo sized monitors, onto screen magnification software, until finally in 2004, becoming completely blind, he began relying on the JAWS screen reader.

John founded Essential Computer Care in 2009 which provides technical consultations to companies and individuals.  Services span from complete computer system set up and security to data recovery and trouble shooting.  At Brain Logic, John delivers system evaluations and design solutions related to usable and accessible systems and products.

In addition to an Degree in Computer Technology, John’s coursework includes Business Administration and Business Management with an IT Concentration. He holds a certification in web site design along with Comptia A+ and Network+ Certifications.

In his spare time John is busy keeping tabs on his 18 year old daughter and maintaining his 125-year old historic home with his wife, Betsy.  He enjoys cooking, listening to audio books and traveling.
